Medieval Day at Reynolds

Reenactments

Reenactments for the event were offered by the local chapter of The Society of Creative Anachronism.

The many reeactments allowed participants to:
  • Learn spinning and weaving
  • Watch demonstrations of medieval fencing and armored fighting
  • Practice calligraphy and illumination
  • Play medieval board games
  • Dance like they did in medieval times
  • Taste food from the period*
  • Learn about heraldry

* On the menu was Blanc Mange; chicken, rice, and almond casserole; fresh bread and honey butter; tarts (vegetable and fruit); cheese and sausages; fruit (apples and grapes); and beverages.
